Difficult to be leased, an odd corner of a commercial building set in a prime location remained nulled and deceased. Because of an odd floor plate and an implausible ceiling height, the space could not be realised to be usable.Taking these constraints as an opportunity and to explore the interiors with minimum articulation, the corner now is visualised to be an office space for the builder owning this property. An unusual office made to entertain clients is adorned with a grand height and makes it an experience to be present in it. The entrance lobby and foyer is scaled down to escalate the double volume enjoyed exclusively by the main cabin. A reading cum repose space is created at an attic level accessed only through the cabin which overlooks into the cabin.
This exercise of customisation was further explored in designing a bespoke table for the client and a painting of 9′ x 7′.
