Conceived as a vertical development with two 2-bedroom apartments per floor. The plan profile allows for terraces on every alternate floor creating the shaded and sun-lit regions for the floor below. Compact planning also allowed us to house services between the two wings, allowing flats to have a dual surface maximising cross ventilation. It also reduce the built footprint, which allowed us to have a community / recreation space for the scheme which otherwise for this plait area wouldn’t have been possible.
